MPWC Kids Fun Run

The Munsey Park Women’s Club’s fourth annual MPWC Kids Fun Run and Fair, a fundraiser with the primary beneficiary the Manhasset SCA’s Project Share. At 9 a.m. kids from all over Manhasset will run or walk the one-mile race. The Fun Run kicks off at Waldmann/Polliwog Pond promptly, rain or shine, and is open to all children ages 2-12.  Registration is now open - $15/child on or before May 24 and $20 after May 24 through race day. Forms will be coming home in the kid’s backpacks or you can contact Missy Leder for a form or for more sponsorship information, contact Missy Leder at missyleder@hotmail.com, 627-5705.

Sunday Afternoon At The Opera

“Sunday Afternoon At The Opera” from 2-4 p.m when Temple Judea of Manhasset welcomes the return of Ross Crolius, retired full-time chorister with the Metropolitian Opera for 25 years. Through the use of DVD and discussion, Mr. Crolius will bring all into the Biblical world of Samson and Deliliah based on their story in the Book of Judges. The program, sponsored by the Greatest Generation of Temple Judea of Manhasset, 333 Searingtown Road, Manhasset, NY 11030, is $10 person and “more than a nosh” will be served. Manhasset-Lakeville Water and Fire District Summer Schedule

The Board of Commissioners of the Manhasset-Lakeville Water and Fire District has a summer schedule of public official meetings. The board will meet on Thursdays at 5 p.m. in the evening from June 6 to Sept. 5 to discuss the weekly business of the district. The regular meeting schedule will resume Sept. 10. All meetings will be conducted in the boardroom at the district office, 170 East Shore Road, Great Neck, unless other publicly notified. Our regular office hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The board is available on a daily basis to respond to concerns, questions and issues of the district residents pertaining to water or fire district matters. Special arrangement or appointments can be made through Barbara Pisani at 516-466-4416, ext. 704.
